Bozinovic says easing of epidemiological measures could be decentralised

Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic said on Thursday the easing of epidemiological measures imposed due to the COVID-19 outbreak could be decentralised in the days ahead.

"We are not ruling out decentralising the easing of the measures where the epidemiological situation has improved," he said at a press conference of the national civil protection authority, which he heads.

Bozinovic said the national authority would decide today on forming local civil protection teams to look into how the measures defined by the Croatian Institute of Public Health were being complied with in care homes.

"Those teams will be coordinated by an epidemiologist who is a member of the county civil protection authority and the teams will include a civil protection inspector, a state inspector, a sanitary inspector, a social worker and a police officer," Bozinovic said.
