The Police Directorate on Monday asked all foreigners who are staying in Croatia for a short time to contact to the police to be registered, adding that no measures under the law on foreigners would be undertaken towards them because of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Given that a certain number of foreigners who are on a short stay in Croatia cannot leave the country within the time envisaged under the Schengen Borders Code, the police, in line with epidemiologists' recommendations, asked all foreign nationals to provide their information for registration purposes so that they avoid possible problems on the border upon leaving the country.

The Police Directorate urged foreigners not to come to police stations but to contact the police by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or by phone.
